In simple terms a contract is an agreement
between two or more parties for the doing or not doing of something
specified, this being enforceable by law.
Phoenix always work within a written contract on their Building projects. Our Small Works Contact is designed to protect both your interests (as the Client) and our interests ( as the Contractor). Very basically, we agree to carry out specified works for a given price within a set timescale, you as the Client agree to pay for the works in the manner set out in the Contract.
Phoenix offer external Contracts Administration / Management services to Contractors and Sub Contractors.
There are many written "standard" forms of building contract, in this we include sub contracts, unfortunately these are frequently altered to bias them to one side or the other, if left unchallenged this can lead to serious complications during the course of a project. Many smaller Contractors and Sub Contractors do not have the resources to properly manage the contract side, this can lead to notices etc not being issued as required which can have disastrous consequences for your financial success on the project. You can employ us to manage the contract on your behalf, this is probably cheaper than employing a full time contracts manager who is not fully utilised and definitely preferable to loosing control of your contracts. Phoenix have skilled personnel adept in contract administration, we can also provide bespoke contracts to formalise agreements in a given condition.
